"I first heard about NLP after reading an article and signed up to a one day seminar in January 2007 after having my second child. I'd tried every kind of diet - none of which worked for long, I was desperate.
The session involved things like looking at our reflections and saying what we liked and didn't and to focus on the good, and we were given techniques to help us reprogram the way we ate.
The most useful one involved putting your knife and fork down between each mouthful and chewing 20 times. It transformed the way I ate because it slowed me down so I realised when I was full. Plus, when I had fast food I realised how tasteless it was.
Even the day after the seminar my friends remarked how good I looked, I felt more confident so my posture was better and I had dressed more attractively because of it. In two months, I lost one and half stone. NLP has worked because it's put me in control."
